Adults and children older than 6 months of age can drink the water.
Do not allow infants, pregnant women or nursing mothers to drink the water.
The City Office has bottled water available during regular business hours.

Beginning in January 2026, the City of Plainview will require that all Golf Cars/ATVs/UTVs operated within City limits are registered with the City Office. Initial registration fee is $25 with an annual renewal fee of $20. Permits expire December 31 of each year. A registration application will need to be submitted along with copies of proof of insurance, a valid State of Nebraska Class O license and proof of ownership. All registered vehicles will receive a license plate and tag for the current year that must be attached to the rear driver's side.

*Effective January 1, 2026, the City of Plainview HandiVan rates for rides and punch cards will increase. Due to continued rising expenses for the service and a reduction in grant funding through the State of Nebraska, a price increase was necessary.
*One way rides – increase from $1.50 to $2.00
*Punch cards - increase from $24 to $32 for 18 rides
*Those that utilize the service to travel to appointments where the driver is unable to leave and must wait, the hourly rate for wait time will increase from $4.00 per hour to $5.00 per hour.
New punch cards will be available after January 1, 2026 at the new rate. Old punch cards will be honored until they are used in full.
