Trash rates for residential and commercial customers were increased at the February 13, 2024 council meeting. New rates will begin with the first billing on our after March 1, 2024.

WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council of the City of Plainview deem it necessary to adjust trash rates within the City;
NOW THEREFORE LET IT BE RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW, NEBRASKA, THAT:

Important Notice: Quarterly reports from NDEE show that nitrate levels collected in September are 9.27 mg/L. The City is no longer required to provide bottled water as the nitrate level is below the maximum level of 10 mg/L.

Miller and Associates presented their Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) to the City Council at the June 14, 2022 council meeting. The PER shows the data collected that has been used for the proposed options to correct the high nitrate levels in the City of Plainview's drinking water supply.
