Starting June 6, 2022 through September Complete Pest Elimination will be spraying in the City of Plainview for mosquitoes on a weekly basis every Monday.
The spray and the chemicals used are safe and not particularly an issue. Contact the City Office at 582-4928 with any questions.
Take the precautions listed below to help alleviate mosquito breeding on your property.
- Eliminate standing water in rain gutters, old tires, buckets, plastic covers, toys, or any other container where mosquitoes can breed.
- Empty and change the water in bird baths, fountains, wading pools, rain barrels, and potted plant trays at least once a week to destroy potential mosquito habitats.
- Drain or fill temporary pools of water with dirt.
- Keep swimming pool water treated and circulating.
- Mosquitoes love overgrown trees, brush, weeds and tall grass. Keeping lawns tidy helps keep mosquitoes out.
